OMG! Meera guns down Vidya in Saath Nibhana Saathiya!!

It’s not just Gopi (Devoleena Chatterjee) who was left bereft when Ahem (Mohammad Nazim) died in Saath Nibhana Saathiya. The show’s rating has also been also bearing the brunt of his absence since May. The daily soap, which has always been in the top 2 slots, has slipped down to No. 4.

And, what’s a better way to boost the ratings than to come up with a mega twist?
After realising that Gopi’s remarriage with Krishna (Khalid Siddiqui) has not salvaged the soap’s dipping popularity, the makers have come up with another ‘fatal accident’ in the storyline.

How, you ask? As you know, there’s major sibling rivalry happening between Gopi’s daughters Meera (Tanya Sharma) and Vidya (Sonam Lamba). In the upcoming episodes, the sisters will have a major face-off, with Meera pumping bullets into Vidya. But hold on, there’s another twist -- it’s not Meera who pulls the trigger! She just thinks she has!!

Let’s spoil the suspense for you. Meera, who adopts Vidya’s daughter Priyal through deceit, sends the child off to a boarding school. Meanwhile, Naiyya (Pratibha Tiwari), Vidya’s sister-in-law, takes advantage of the sisters’ fight and kidnaps Priyal.

On receiving a call from the kidnappers, Meera sets off to rescue the kid, followed by Vidya.

Meera gets baffled to see her sister following her and points a gun at Vidya. But before she could pull the trigger, Naiyya guns down Vidya.  Meera believes it was she who shot her sister and breaks down.
